Guyliner

Eyeliner has been around forever and it's been in and out of different trends. Women use eyeliner to bring the color of their eyes or make them feel more attractive. But men that wear eyeliner just freaks me out. I know that men that are goths and rockstars are known for wearing liner but I just can't get used to it or find it even slightly attractive. I just feel that there are certain things that should just be for girls just as well as some things should be just for guys. It's not that I have a problem with people expressing themselves but I just don't understand the point. Why do men wear eyeliner? To look and feel more feminine? To express themselves in a different and "original" way? Whatever it is.. it doesn't make sense to me.

It's the day after Christmas and I think that I am still so full from the yesterdays amazing lunch my mom made for the family. Over the holidays I have been doing nothing but relaxing with the man, going out with the girls, eating good food and sipping on spiked cider. It feels so nice to just sit back and enjoy my time with the people I love seeing the most. Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday!

I Can See Ya Panties..

I feel like this subject can be a little tough. Usually when getting ready for the day you check yourself out and make sure you are looking good before you step out the door. But not every girl turns around to check that behind before going. Usually, wearing a thong really does the trick to hiding that hideous line around your booty making the shape of 4 cheeks. But sometimes it creeps on you and the whole world from behind will know not only what kind of underwear you have on but even what color (khaki's and white bottoms will do that). So how do we avoid this situation? I personally think going "comando" is so gross and makes me feel un comfortable. Spanx? but those are kind of weird too..  Whatever it is that makes you feel better just make sure you aren't showin the world what you have on underneath.

Katy Perry x OPI

Have to be honest here.. not a huge fan of Katy Perry's music but I really love this new OPI nail polish that Katy did a collab with. I really like this "Crackle" kind of texture the polish has. The Teenage Dream (pink sparkle), Not like the Movies (silver), Last Friday Night (blue), and The One That Got Away (berry purple) will be released in early Spring 2011 for $19.95. The Shatter Black will also be released with the rest of the Katy Perry Collection but will be a permanent color to the classic OPI collection.

Just because it's warm doesn't make it okay..

Before I begin on my rage of winter gear no no's I want to take a moment to apologize to my little readers. I know I've been slacking.. but I have been super busy. Just finished with finals and working a lot.
For today's sesh I would like to share my thoughts with you all on womens winter gear no no's. Winter is a great time to show off that nice warm coat and sexy boots. BUT this is probably the season with the WORST gear ever. I know it's cold so people want to keep warm but that isn't an excuse to walk around looking crazy.



NORTHFACE + COCKTAIL DRESS = BAD COMBO

 The other weekend I was out with some girls of mine having a great time. I saw this really cute girl with a pretty cocktail dress and cute heels and I was thinking how adorable she looked until.. she put on her damn northface... Are you kidding me? I get it.. North Faces are warm and comfy but if you are already going out of your way to put on a tight dress and uncomfortable heels at least get a nice jacket to compliment your dress.. A north face is not to be worn for every occasion. Lets get it together.






FURRY BOOTS

I really wonder how many maltese dogs they killed to make one pair? These are disgusting and I can't even believe someone would buy these. What's the point? They are going to get so wet and dirty from the muddy snow. After wearing them once you will look like you are wearing wet pups on your feet. Gross.









SOCKS AND HEELS

How many times can I say NO to this trend. Open toed heels are kept for Summer and Spring and closed toe is all year long depending on the style. Only a few girls have I seen can pull off open toed heels with tights. But most girls can not pull this type of trend. There is a time and place for everything and open toed shoes are not to be worn in the winter.

Living in the Short North I always see some really stylish moms. They shop at the local boutiques, hair always kept nicely, keep up with the latest fashion trends that are appropriate for their age. Basically the mom that your guy friends always check out. These women would be called "COUGARS". The other day I went to Easton Mall and I was so confused. Every single mom shopping looked exactly the same. And not in a good way. Every ladies style looked like Talbots threw up on them. These women I like to call "Soccer Moms." Lets break down the style shall we?

THE MINI VAN

A woman isn't a soccer mom until she owns a mini van. It is a perfect size to fit her kids with all their sporting goods or to take them to the schools field trip.











THE HAIR

Where do I even begin to explain my hatred against this hairstyle? We could start off by discussing the shitty highlights done from a box? Or the over load of hairspray making her hair look crunchy? Or maybe the ugly hair flip at the end? Either way, it's all hideous and any hairstylist that has done this to a poor woman should hand over their licensce and find a new profession immediately.

THE MOM JEANS

These jeans are worn by every single soccer mom known in history. It is probably the worse trend that has lasted waaaaay too long. And the thing that I don't get is that it is worn by a woman any shape or size and no matter the figure.. it is unflattering on EVERY WOMAN. So why haven't these jeans died yet?











SHOES MADE FOR COMFORT

Every person likes to wear comfortable shoes I get it. But that doesn't mean you have to go out to kmart and buy the ugliest sneakers or flats ever made. The best part is when ladies buy flats like these and wear their holiday socks too..















AND LASTLY.. THE GRANDMA BAG

I really want to find the actual woman Vera Bradley and smack her in the face. She has made millions off of these grandma quilted bags and it is such a shame. I don't get it? There is nothing cute about these bags yet every Gahanna mom owns one. Wait till I meet this lady..
